Urgent Matter: Proposed Purchase of Club Trailer
Vote Required by 3/22/25
The club has been storing our car show supplies at Dick Knight's shop and this has led to space issues and the risk of damaging our equipment due to frequent movement. To address this challenge, we've proposed purchasing a trailer for organized storage and transport of the car show club gear, as discussed in our recent March car show and board meetings. If approved by membership, a trailer would be purchased (not to exceed $3,500) and would be parked at Dick Knight's shop in the lower lot.
Board Meeting Motion Notes (March 19, 2025):
"Motion was made by Marsh Frillici to allocate $3,000 to $3,500 to purchase a Club trailer to store Car Show materials. This trailer to be exclusively for Club official use only and to be licensed to the Club. Motion was seconded by Jim Vincent. Recommendation was approved. Brian Remmel will send authorization to the Club members for approval. This action was accelerated by the opportunity to purchase a trailer at a reasonable price."
ASK: Club member approval via vote to purchase a trailer to store and transport club car show equipment not to exceed $3,500 in purchase cost.
Benefits: 1) Protected storage of car show equipment ready for transport, 2) Significantly less expensive than a storage unit (20' storage units are currently averaging $200 per month)
Additional Costs: 1) One time registration approx. $187.50. 2) Annual registration approx. $13.78, 3) Annual insurance estimated at ~$125.
